Jozef Šimko is the director of the Innovation Partnership Centre (IPC) in Prešov, whose founding members are the Prešov Self-Governing Region, the University of Prešov and the Regional Development Agency. In his position as director of the institution, he leads projects aimed at diversified support of the innovation ecosystem in the region, linking the business environment with academia, public administration and the third sector. In addition to the standard activities of innovation centres, the IPC’s portfolio of activities also includes innovative forms of tourism, superior project cooperation with the Republic of Poland, and the development of social innovations. Its aim is to create conditions for a modern and competitive business environment in the Prešov Region.
